Privacy Policy

Last updated: January 1, 2026

All camera video streams and microphone audio are processed 100% locally in your browser. No camera, microphone, speaker, or gamepad data leaves your device.

1. Local Browser Processing

WebcamMicTest operates entirely in client-side JavaScript via standard WebRTC browser APIs. When you grant permission, your browser accesses your media devices directly. The resulting stream stays strictly within your active browser tab.

2. No External Server Streaming

We operate zero servers that receive, record, or relay media streams. All snapshots and audio samples are stored temporarily in browser memory and cleared immediately upon tab close.

3. Zero Tracking & Analytics Sales

WebcamMicTest does not sell user data or track personal hardware identifiers. We run no advertising trackers, no third-party analytics scripts, and no fingerprinting libraries on our pages.

4. Cookies & Local Storage

We do not use tracking cookies. The only browser storage we use is localStorage to remember your theme preference (light, dark, or system auto) and language selection so it persists between visits. This setting stays entirely on your device and can be cleared at any time from your browser settings.

5. Children's Privacy

Our Service does not collect personal information from anyone, including children under 13. Because all diagnostics run locally on your device and we gather no user data, no special personal information collection applies to any age group.

6. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Material changes will be highlighted where practical.

7. Contact Us

If you have any questions about this Privacy Policy or how the Service handles your data, please contact us.
